Overview Literature Class

Literature class, it was different from any English class I remember ever had, and I really like the way it developed over these three years.

I liked it because of the way the class, read interesting stories that make up your mind and made you. Also because of the practices, each practice is unique and different from the others.

Some things that I didn't like were the notes because some of them were really big and the story was difficult to understand, also sometimes you didn't write a detail that maybe was part of the question that the teacher asked. And another thing that I didn't like was the participation from I news, maybe it was something interesting to make, but sometimes you can't find a new to say and that's participation lost.

In the end, this class was better than the others. I like to thank Mr. Felix for being the most unique teacher and trying to make the course more interactive.

The summary of the story from today is "The Necklace" . It was written by Guy de Maupassant published in 1884 in the french newspaper Le Gaulois. He tries to criticize bourgeoisie and their excess and how far can go the human ambition. The story presents us a lady called Mathilde, she got marry with a minor clerk of Minister of Education. She couldn´t afford fine clothes, jewels, nothing, but she wanted those things. One evening, her husband came home with a surprise, they were invited to a reception. Echo and Narcissus

The name of today's story is Echo and Narcissus, it was written by the poet Ovid and spcifically can be found in the third book of his poetry's book named Metamorphoses. Ovid's intention was to state how some thing were created and if we want to get more phylosophical, he wanted to state the clear difference between the obsession and the love of someone. The story starts explaining us that Zeus went to the forest t play with the nymphs, Hera tried to find Zeus in the act but always a nymph called Echo appeared to her and chatted with her to give time to Zeus and the nymphs to escape. One time Hera discovered that Echo tricked her and put a curse on Echo, she could only repeat the last word of what other said.
